Reporting an error
Write to us through the contact page with the article title, the specific claim you believe is wrong, and, if you have it, the evidence. We acknowledge reports and tell you what we intend to do.
How we classify changes
- Correction — a factual error that changed the meaning. The article carries a dated note explaining what was wrong and what it now says.
- Clarification — the facts were right but the wording invited a wrong reading. A dated note explains the change.
- Update — new information has been added to a developing story. The article is marked as updated and the original reporting stays visible.
- Silent fix — typography, broken links, and formatting only. Never used for anything that changes meaning.
What we do not do
We do not delete articles to make an error disappear. We do not edit a claim out of the record without a note. In the rare case where an article must be withdrawn entirely — for legal or safety reasons — we leave a note at its URL explaining that it was withdrawn and why.

If you were the subject of a story and believe it was unfair, tell us. Where the complaint has merit we will publish your response.
